ProtectMyMail Affiliate Program – Terms

1. Who we are
The ProtectMyMail Affiliate Program (the "Program") is operated by ACAI Technology, registered at IFZA Business Park, DDP, PO Box 342001, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Licence No. 6255) ("we", "us"). These Affiliate Terms apply in addition to the ProtectMyMail Terms of Service. If the two conflict on anything about the Program, these Affiliate Terms apply.
2. Joining
2.1 You join by creating an affiliate account at affiliate.protectmymail.com, confirming your email address and accepting these terms, or by switching on "send ProtectMyMail promo" in the ProtectMyMail plugin, which creates an affiliate account for you and asks you to accept these terms.
2.2 You do not need to be a ProtectMyMail customer to join. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
2.3 If you join on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2.4 We may refuse or close an affiliate account at our discretion, for example if these terms are broken.
3. Your referral link
3.1 After confirming your account you receive a personal referral link. Keep it to yourself only in the sense that it is yours: you may share it publicly, but you are responsible for how it is used.
3.2 A referral is credited to you when someone clicks your link and then creates and confirms a ProtectMyMail account within 90 days of that click. If the same person clicked more than one affiliate's link, the last click before sign-up counts ("last click").
3.3 Attribution is decided once, when the referred account is confirmed, and does not change afterwards.
3.4 Tracking uses a first-party cookie on protectmymail.com. If the person clears cookies, uses another device or browser, or blocks cookies, the referral may not be credited, and we cannot credit it manually.
4. Commission
4.1 You earn 30% of every payment a referred customer makes for a ProtectMyMail subscription, for as long as that subscription stays active (recurring, lifetime of the subscription).
4.2 Commission is calculated on the amount actually received, excluding taxes (such as VAT), payment-processor fees we do not pass on, and any refunded or charged-back amount.
4.3 Refund hold: each commission becomes payable 30 days after the payment it is based on. If that payment is refunded or charged back, fully or partly, the related commission is reduced accordingly; if it was already paid out, the reduction is deducted from your next payouts.
4.4 No commission is earned on:
- your own account or any account you control ("self-referral"), including accounts linked to your affiliate account or using the same email address;
- free trials that never convert to a paid subscription;
- payments obtained through any breach of these terms.
4.5 Your balance is shown in your affiliate dashboard. It is calculated from our payment and referral records; in case of a dispute, those records apply.
5. Payouts
5.1 You can request a payout from your dashboard once your payable balance is at least US$50. Payouts are made in US dollars by bank transfer to the account you enter in your dashboard.
5.2 You are responsible for giving correct bank details, including the account holder's name exactly as the bank holds it. Transfers that fail because of wrong details may incur bank fees, which are deducted.
5.3 We aim to pay requested payouts within 30 days of the request.
5.4 Taxes: you are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on your commission in your country. If required by law, we may ask for tax information (for example a company registration or tax number) before paying out. Companies invoice us for their commission; for individuals we may issue a self-billed statement.
6. How you may promote ProtectMyMail
6.1 You must:
- clearly disclose that you earn a commission when you recommend ProtectMyMail (for example "affiliate link" or "#ad"), as required by consumer and advertising law where your audience is;
- describe ProtectMyMail truthfully and only make claims we make ourselves (for example about encryption and verification);
- comply with all laws that apply to you and your promotion, including anti-spam and data-protection laws.
6.2 You must not:
- send unsolicited email, messages or comments (spam);
- bid on "ProtectMyMail" or confusingly similar terms in paid search ads, or use them in domain names, social handles or app names;
- present yourself as ProtectMyMail, ACAI Technology or our official support;
- offer cash back, rewards or incentives for signing up through your link unless we agree in writing;
- use fake accounts, bots, cookie stuffing, forced clicks, misleading redirects or any other way to create referrals that are not genuine;
- promote on sites or channels with illegal, hateful, adult or otherwise harmful content.
6.3 You may use the ProtectMyMail name and the logos and materials we provide in the affiliate dashboard, only to promote the Program and only unchanged. You get no other rights to our trademarks.
7. Breaches and ending the Program
7.1 You may close your affiliate account at any time by contacting us. Payable commission above the payout minimum at that time is paid out; smaller amounts lapse after 12 months without activity.
7.2 If you break these terms, we may withhold commission connected to the breach, reverse commission already credited for it, and close your affiliate account. If the breach is serious (for example fraud or spam), all unpaid commission may be forfeited.
7.3 We may change or end the Program with 30 days' notice by email. Commission earned before the change or end remains payable under the terms that applied when it was earned.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you by email and in your dashboard at least 30 days before a change takes effect. If you continue in the Program after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can close your account under section 7.1.
9. Your data
We process your affiliate account data (email, referral and click records, payout details) to run the Program, as described in our Privacy Policy. Bank details are stored encrypted and are used only for payouts. Visitors' clicks are recorded with a random identifier, not their IP address.
10. Liability
10.1 The Program is provided as is. We do not guarantee any level of referrals or earnings.
10.2 Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the commission payable to you in the 12 months before the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10.3 You are an independent contractor. Nothing in these terms creates employment, partnership or agency.
11. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the competent courts of Dubai have jurisdiction, as in the ProtectMyMail Terms of Service.
